MSME Members from our chamber met the Principal Secretary Sri N Yuvaraj garu and the DMG Sri Praveen Kumar garu and explained to them the crisis being faced by our industry. It was understood that the Government was planning to investigate and take action those involved in illegal mining of quartz. The MSME members requested that atleast the tranport permits for mica, feldpsar and vermiculite be opened. The DMG kindly agreed for the proposal.

10th July 2024

The OMEPS portal was opened by the DMG for MDL holders for the minerals - mica, feldspar and vermiculite. However, by evening the permits were found to be blocked again for all minerals.

18th July 2024

A group of members from our chamber felicitated the Honourable MP(Nellore Lok sabha constituency) Sri Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy garu and submitted our representation.

Meeting held at Sublime factory at Gudur. Formation of Adhoc committee with members from Underground tunnel mines, Open cast mines, Quartz mines, Vermiculite MSME industries, Mica MSME industries, Feldspar and Quartz grit industries and Exporters.

Members from our chamber felicitated the Minister of Mines and Geology - Sri Kollu Ravindra garu and submitted the representation letter at his office in Machilipatnam.

12th August 2024

Members from our Chamber met the District Collector at Nellore and brought to his notice the crisis faced by the industry and the employees. The District Collector inquired from the District Mining Officer on the current status and the Collector promised to represent to the higher authorities to help solve the issue.

22nd August 2024

The members met the OSD to the Minister Sri Raja Babu garu and stressed on the need to restore generation of online permits on the OMEPS portal as soon as possible.

28th August 2024

Committee members attended the stakeholders meeting at DMG office, Ibrahimpatnam and made a presentation in association with FEMMI to the DMG Sri Praveen Kumar garu and Joint Director Sri W B Chandrasekhar garu. Issues faced by our industry were highlighted by our members and and policy changes were requested. A representation was by submitted on behalf of our chamber. Our members stressed on the need for RESTORING the ONLINE PERMITS on a PRIORITY BASIS to SAVE OUR INDUSTRY.

17th September 2024

Members from the Chamber met the DMG, Mr. Praveen Kumar at Vijaywada and urged him to open the online permits as soon as possible. The members also met the Minister for Mines and Geology Sri. Kollu Ravindra garu and the OSD Raja Babu garu and submitted a representation urging the Government to open the online permit system IMMEDIATELY.

20th September 2024

Members from the chamber met Sri Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy garu - senior TDP leader and Politburo member and current MLA from Sarvepalli and explained the to him about the crisis faced by the industry. A representation was submitted. The meeting was facilitated by Mrs. Shilpa of Pallava Granites.

30th September 2024

Members from the chamber met the Honourable Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu garu and explained the issues being faced by the industry and requested that the Government open the online permits portal. The Honourable Chief Minister agreed to look into the matter.

Senior TDP leader and Politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy garu arranged the meeting and took the members to the Secretariat.

Members from the Chamber met the Honourable Minister Nara Lokesh garu at Amaravati on 1st October and submitted a representation on the issues being faced by the industry.

More than 50 mining lease holders led by our President Dwaraknad M Reddy garu met the Honourable Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy garu at his office in Nellore. The members explained the crisis being faced by the industry and requested that the portals be opened immediately.
